Withdrawals and Transfers
Selling Into Cash
What happens when I sell an asset?
When you sell a supported asset on Pluto, it is swapped into USDC. The USDC received in your wallet is displayed as Cash.
Your sale proceeds remain in your self-custodial wallet and can be used to buy another supported asset, sent to another compatible wallet or, where available, cashed out to fiat through MoonPay.
What is the difference between selling into Cash and cashing out?
Selling into Cash is an on-chain trade from a supported asset into USDC held in your wallet. Cashing out is a separate provider transaction that converts supported USDC into fiat currency and sends the fiat proceeds using an available payout method.
Selling an asset into Cash does not automatically send money to your bank account.
Sending Crypto
How do I send crypto to another wallet?
Open Cash or the supported asset you want to send and select Send or Withdraw.
Enter the destination address and amount, review the network and transaction information, and authorize the transaction through your wallet. Cash is sent as USDC, so the receiving wallet or platform must support USDC on Solana.
Can I send assets to another Solana wallet?
Yes. You can send Cash as USDC, or another supported Solana asset, to a compatible Solana wallet address.
You are responsible for confirming that the receiving wallet or platform supports the specific asset and the Solana network.
How long does a crypto transfer take?
Most Solana transfers complete quickly, but processing times can vary because of network conditions, wallet services or the receiving platform’s confirmation requirements.
What fees apply when sending crypto?
A blockchain transfer may include execution and blockchain-related costs, such as:
- Solana network fees
- Priority or transaction-processing fees
- Token-account creation costs
- Other costs required to prepare or execute the transaction
The applicable amount will be displayed before you authorize the transfer where available.
Cashing Out
How do I cash out to fiat currency?
First sell any supported asset you want to cash out into Cash. The sale proceeds will appear in your wallet as Cash, which represents USDC.
Where available, open your Cash balance, select Cash out or Withdraw, and follow the MoonPay off-ramp instructions.
MoonPay may ask you to select a payout method, complete identity or compliance checks and send the required USDC to a unique address generated for the sell order. Review the quote, fees, destination address and payout details before confirming.
Does Pluto process cash-out payments?
No. Supported conversions from Cash (USDC) into fiat are processed by the applicable MoonPay entity and its payment partners.
MoonPay determines:
- Eligibility
- Supported fiat currencies and payout methods
- Exchange rates
- MoonPay fees
- Verification and compliance requirements
- Transaction limits
- Processing times
Can I cash out through Crossmint?
Not through Pluto at this time. Pluto currently uses Crossmint for Apple Pay purchases of Cash and MoonPay for supported conversions of Cash to fiat.
Which terms apply to my cash-out?
Your cash-out transaction is governed by the MoonPay terms, privacy policy, risk disclosures and transaction disclosures applicable to your location and transaction.
Review the MoonPay documents and transaction details displayed during the cash-out process before authorizing the transaction:
- MoonPay Legal Centre and applicable Terms of Use
- MoonPay Global Privacy Policy
- MoonPay Risk Disclosures
- MoonPay Help Centre
Pluto is not responsible for MoonPay’s eligibility decision, exchange rate, provider fees, verification process, banking process, delays or payout.
Transfer Problems
Can a transfer be cancelled?
A blockchain transfer generally cannot be cancelled after it has been submitted and confirmed. Review the destination address, network, asset and amount carefully before authorizing a transaction.
What happens if I send funds to the wrong address?
Pluto cannot reverse the transaction or retrieve the assets.
You may contact the owner of the receiving address or the receiving platform, but recovery is not guaranteed.
What happens if I use the wrong network?
Assets sent through an unsupported network may be permanently inaccessible.
Contact the sending and receiving platforms to determine whether recovery is technically possible. Pluto cannot guarantee or perform recovery for transfers completed through unsupported networks.
Why is my withdrawal pending?
A transfer of Cash or another digital asset may be delayed because of network conditions or the receiving platform’s internal processing.
A MoonPay conversion of Cash to fiat may also be delayed by compliance checks, blockchain confirmations, banking hours, payment-partner processing or payout review. Check the MoonPay order status and use MoonPay support for order-specific assistance.
