Your Account and Wallet
Wallet Ownership
Is my wallet a Pluto wallet?
No. The wallet is your wallet.
When you create an account, a self-custodial wallet is created for you using Privy’s wallet infrastructure. You access and interact with that wallet through Pluto, but the wallet is not owned or held by Pluto.
What role does Privy play?
Privy provides the wallet infrastructure used to create and access your self-custodial wallet.
Pluto provides the app interface, while Privy supplies the underlying wallet technology. Your wallet remains associated with you rather than being a custodial account held by Pluto.
Who controls the assets in my wallet?
You control the Cash and other digital assets held in your wallet.
Transactions must be authorized through your wallet before they can be submitted to the blockchain. Pluto cannot independently withdraw, transfer, freeze or use your Cash or other assets.
Can Pluto access or move my funds?
No. Pluto cannot independently access, withdraw, freeze or move the Cash or other assets held in your wallet.
Pluto also cannot reverse a completed blockchain transaction or recover assets sent to the wrong address.
Does Pluto custody my assets?
No. Pluto does not take custody of your Cash or any other digital assets held in your wallet. Cash is USDC held directly in your self-custodial wallet.
MoonPay processes supported purchases of USDC and conversions of USDC to fiat made through its integration. Crossmint processes supported Apple Pay purchases of USDC made through its integration. These provider transactions are governed by the applicable provider’s terms and remain separate from the self-custodial wallet functionality accessed through Pluto.
Cash
What is Cash?
Cash is Pluto’s display name for supported USDC held in your self-custodial wallet on Solana.
Cash is not a separate token issued by Pluto and it is not a fiat balance held by Pluto.
Is Cash held by Pluto?
No. Cash is USDC held in your wallet. Your wallet is created using Privy’s wallet infrastructure and accessed through Pluto, but Pluto does not own, hold or custody your Cash.
How is Cash used on Pluto?
You use Cash to buy supported assets. When you sell a supported asset, it is exchanged into USDC and the proceeds appear in your wallet as Cash.
Each buy or sell is an on-chain swap authorized through your wallet and routed through available Solana liquidity.
Can I send Cash to another wallet?
Yes. Because Cash represents USDC on Solana, you can send it to a compatible wallet or platform that supports USDC on the Solana network.
Always verify the destination address, asset and network before authorizing a transfer.
Accessing Your Wallet
Where can I find my wallet address?
Open Pluto and select Deposit.
Your Solana wallet address will be displayed as text and as a QR code. Always confirm that the selected asset and network are supported before sending funds.
Can I export my wallet?
Where wallet export is available, you can export your wallet’s private key through the security or wallet settings in Pluto.
Exporting your wallet allows you to access it using another compatible wallet application. Store your private key securely and never share it with another person. Anyone with your private key may be able to control your wallet and its assets.
Can Pluto recover my wallet?
No. Pluto cannot recover your wallet.
Your available recovery options depend on the authentication and recovery methods associated with your Privy-powered wallet. You should export and securely store your wallet credentials where that option is available.
Can I use my wallet outside Pluto?
Where private-key export is available, you can import your wallet into a compatible Solana wallet application.
Only enter your private key into a wallet application that you trust. Pluto is not responsible for third-party wallet applications or for assets lost through the use of those applications.
Account Settings
How do I change my profile?
Open your Pluto profile and select Edit profile.
Available settings may include your username, profile picture and other public account information.
How do I manage notifications?
Open Settings and select Notifications.
You can choose which Pluto updates and activity alerts you would like to receive. Your device’s operating system settings may also affect whether notifications are delivered.
How do I delete my account?
Open your account settings and follow the account-deletion instructions, or contact Pluto support.
Before deleting your account, send your Cash and other assets, convert Cash to fiat where available, or export your wallet where that option is available. Deleting your Pluto account does not reverse blockchain transactions or remove your wallet from the Solana blockchain.
